Slievebloom Walking Festival

Spring is the perfect time for the Slieve Bloom Walking Festival. Flowers grace the Slievebloom hills and the birds start their cheerful melodies as you wander through the lush walkways. This year marks the 28th anniversary of the festival, organised by the Slievebloom Walking Club. It’s a great opportunity for hikers of all levels to explore various trails, from easy walks to more challenging hikes, through woodlands and wild areas.

Experienced guides lead the hikes, sharing interesting stories about the local history, geology, and wildlife along the way. Mark your calendars for the festival’s start on Saturday the 4th of May with its end following on Monday the 6th of May. It’s a chance to spend a weekend outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature and discovering the wonders of the Slieve Bloom region. So, whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking for a fun way to spend the weekend, come join us for some fresh air and adventure!
