About Laois Tourism

Laois Chamber Alliance acts as an umbrella body for Laois Chamber and Laois Tourism, strengthening networking opportunities, collaborating with events and sharing of resources to create a thriving and bustling economy in Laois for all sectors, and for Laois to be recognised both nationally and internationally as the ideal location to live, work, visit, invest and do business.

For most tourists, getting a real flavour of the places they visit is about an all-encompassing experience, from where they lay their heads, the food they eat, the sites they visit, the things they do and the people they meet.

Tourism is everyone’s business and working together with local tourism providers, local authorities, Fáilte Ireland and the local community we are delivering a truly immersive authentic and real Laois tourism experience.

The 2018-2023 Laois Tourism Strategy is the roadmap that Laois Tourism are following to take a long term and holistic view on growing tourism in Laois.

What is Laois Tourism currently doing?

Working with Fáilte Ireland, Laois Chamber Alliance will support its members and tourism stakeholders in County Laois in applying for and developing strategic funding applications under the Just Transition Regenerative Tourism Fund 2023-2026 administered by Fáilte Ireland.

Our monthly tourism stakeholders newsletter keeps members informed of all relevant tourism funding opportunities to maximise business potential.  Laois Tourism can also work with members to help make applications to Laois County Council, Laois Partnership,  Laois LEO, Fáilte Ireland and other relevant funding channels that may come available.  We also work with members to apply for Laois County Council Festival Funding.
