Magpies on the Pylon By Michael Collins

Laois Traveller Action Group presents this outstanding play, Magpies on the Pylon, written and performed by Michel Collins, to celebrate Traveller Pride Week. Jim, a Traveller father, is struggling to cope with the suicide of his 23-year-old son, becoming Isolated from other family members and misusing alcohol. To support audiences, following this performance of Magpies on the Pylon, Michael Collins will be joined on stage for a facilitated Q&A and discussion about the sensitive, and some might say taboo, subject of suicide within the Traveller community.
