In the 1990s, the Latvians fought for independence from the Russian Empire, and the Irish fought for independence from the British Empire. These events do not happen to the family of the Latvian, entrepreneur and inventor Kārlis Pētersons living in Dublin. Karl’s wife Annija and nephew Konrāds are actively involved in the Irish liberation struggle, but the Republic of Latvia is proclaimed in the Petersons’ homeland.
