George Gardener is the moniker of Irish musician George Mercer. Once known for his former explorations into a world of synthesizers and ethereal sounds, on his new lyric-focused project, George has stripped away old habits for a more raw and vulnerable lyrical striving, upheld by a minimal and spacious Indie songwriting structure, reminiscent of contemporary Indie songwriters Julia Jacklin, Cass McCombs with gentle nods to 70s soft rock, lo-fi slacker rock, and alt-country surf rock.
