Solas Eco Garden Shop

Solas Eco Garden Shop is Ireland's first eco garden centre.

This exciting new garden centre built on an old derelict site has been created from disused shipping containers and recycled materials.

Situated on the Dublin Rd in Portarlington, Solas Garden Shop offers an extensive range of plants and flowers. Our Horticulturist is always on hand to answer any of your gardening questions. We also have a 22,000 sq ft indoor retail area, selling everything you need for your garden. Our eco shop is free from chemicals as we only sell organic and natural pest and weed control products.

Every Saturday we run a farmers’ market. Our purpose built ‘Container Street’ food market offers an exciting range of organic, local and fresh produce.

We host training events and workshops every week for both adults and children, from craft activities to learning to grow organically.

We have an inviting food village for tasty treats, gourmet sandwiches, artisan coffee and pizzas. All our packaging is compostable. On Sundays our courtyard is host to local musicians. Whether its traditional Irish, blues or contemporary music being played, talented musicians ensure guests are always entertained.

Come and relax with a glass of wine or a cup of tea, in our hidden oasis whilst you soak up the sights and sounds. Admission is free and is open to everyone, from young to old.
