The highly-anticipated Timahoe Heritage Festival is set to return on the June Bank Holiday weekend. This vibrant event, which began in 2019 to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of the Viking raid on Timahoe’s monastery in 919AD, has since grown into an annual celebration that attracts visitors from near and far. Some highlights over the two days will be The Timahoe Heritage 5K run, battle re-enactments, Interactive workshops & displays, heritage talks and funfair rides.
