The Big Dig At Timahoe Heritage Festival

Join us for a day of hands-on excavation and discovery as we unearth the secrets of Ireland’s past. Whether your child is an archaeology enthusiast or just curious about history, the Big Dig is an event not to be missed. Our replica ‘Viking House’ and excavation site allows children and young adults to explore the Viking world through a simulated archaeology dig. As they dig through the site, participants will unearth Viking treasures and artefacts dating back 1,000 years.
