Poetry Workshop with Arthur Broomfield – Leaves Festival

Arthur’s workshop is open to all levels of poetry writers. It will deal with the basic issues of writing a poem – setting, imagery, economy of language. What is inspiration? How does a poem ‘come to you’? Influences – whose work do you like? Arthur has written four collections of poetry. His poems have been published in Ireland, the UK, USA India, Serbia and continental Europe. He is the current Poetry Ireland Poetry Laurate for Mountmellick.
