Of Places Particular and New with Kerri Ní Dochartaigh – Leaves Festival
8th November @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm€8
Kerri Ní Dochartaigh will talk about and read from her acclaimed debut, Thin Places (2021), a blend of memoir, nature writing and history. She was born in Derry at the height of the Troubles. Recurring and profound memories for her are the terrifying petrol bombing of her childhood home and the power of nature to absorb and save her. Thin places shaped an order on difficult deeply lived years, bringing her redemption. In the past year Kerri ni Dochartaigh has put down roots in the middle of Ireland.
