Laois Walks Festival Grand Canal Fishertown to Vicarstown

Walk along the Grand Canal down the Barrow Valley passing moored boats and grain stores in the village of Vicarstown. This is a Grade A walk and is 13km approximately. As you walk, you’ll pass rich green fields and hedgerows of alder, willow and elder, as the canal landscape is slowly enveloped by large tillage fields.
