Historical Culture Night Events: A Tour of Emo Court
On Culture Night 2023 Emo Court will host a free Interior Guided tour of the historical house, with tour guides dressed in period costumes. This will be a chance to get a look inside one of the most famous houses in Laois, and will be a great day out for all the family to enjoy.
As well as the tour, visitors to Emo Court can enjoy the lake and woodland walks or a meander through the gardens before relaxing in the charming tearooms.
Just an hour from Dublin in the shadow of the Slieve Blooms mountains, Emo Court is a stunning estate rich in history and natural beauty. From its design by world renowned architect James Gandon in 1790, to famous tenants such as the Earls of Portarlington. This house has a plethora of history that is waiting to be discovered!
