Celebrate International Women’s Day at Portlaoise Library and join us for a film screening of ‘Hidden Figures’ the 2016 American biographical drama film, based on the 2016 non-fiction book of the same name. Three females African – American mathematicians play a pivotal role in astronaut John Glenn’s launch into orbit. Meanwhile, they also must deal with racial and gender discrimination at work.
