Leaves Festival 2023: Donal Ryan with Music by Ultan Conlon
As part of the forthcoming Leaves Festival of Writing and Music Portlaoise Library is looking forward to welcoming award-winning author Donal Ryan and Irish singer songwriter Ultan Conlon.
Donal Ryan is an award winning author known for his many literary gems including ‘The Spinning Heart’, ‘A Slanting Of The Sun’, ‘The Thing About December’, ‘All We Shall Know’ and ‘From a Low and Quiet Sea’. Join him at Leaves Festival 2023 as he talks about writing, literature and his most recent novel, ‘The Queen of Dirt Island’.
Ultan Conlon is a singer songwriter from Co. Galway. known for his breathtaking vocals and melodic guitar. He has performed live with John Martyn, Mary Coughlan, Lisa Hannigan, Mark Geary, Roesy, Sabrina Dinan, David Kitt, and the Four of Us. Conlon anchored his distinctive sound and sensibility in Los Angeles, California with Grammy Award- winning David Garza (Fiona Apple) who produced Ultan’s 5th record, The Starlight Ballroom, launched this September.
