Crafternoon Tea @ Mountmellick Embroidery Museum

24th August @ 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

FREE
To celebrate August Craft Month we invite you to Crafternoon Tea at the Museum Studio.
Tutors and Crafters will display their work, give little demonstrations and tell their inspiring stories of creativity.
Enjoy our museum visitor experience, including a welcome video and wander through the museum exhibits of needlework and much much more.
Marvel at the Stories of Mountmellick Embroidery and the dynamic women involved for nearly 200 years, ensuring it is very much a ‘living craft’ and part of Ireland’s Intangible Cultural Heritage.
It is true to say that artistry, technique and passion go into every embroidery stitch using time-honoured traditions. Then relax and chat with tasty treats and refreshments. All free of charge thanks to support from Design & Crafts Council Ireland
Here at the museum our origins are deeply rooted in the past, but our vision is firmly set on the future.
