    5. Roundwood House

As a country house, Roundwood is unpretentious and charming, and manages to have that away-from-it-all feeling, from the moment you turn down the drive and see the centuries-old trees surrounding the house..." McKenna's Guides, 100 Best 2019

Picturesque Slieve Bloom Setting

Situated at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains, Roundwood is an early Georgian house built in the 1730s. Both pretty and architecturally interesting, it boasts large beautifully proportioned bedrooms and warm, welcoming reception rooms. It also has many wonderful outbuildings to be explored.

Dine and Relax

Roundwood is a special place to stay for many reasons - it has a fascinating history, its' owners Hannah & Paddy are passionate about what they do and treat all their guests like friends, and Paddy is an excellent chef using the best of local ingredients to create delicious and memorable meals. Time spent here will give you the opportunity to switch off to the outside world, enjoy good food, wine and music (Paddy is also a musician), explore many local sites of interest and experience genuine Irish hospitality at its' best.

Special Offers
