Hogan’s Pub, in the heart of the Slieve Bloom mountains, is a gem of a pub filled with culture, atmosphere and a ‘thousand million welcomes’. The pub was the home place of the Sheeran clan for many a generation. The pub itself is steeped in history, dating back over 250 years. It was once a ‘Sheebeen’ which was an illegal or unlicensed pub, untill finally gaining its licence many years later.

Today, the pub is owned and run by the local Hogan family. Hogan’s pub is one of only three thatched pubs in the whole county and despite changes in ownership and generations, it has always stuck to its roots and hasn’t lost its identity over the years. The pub caters for all folk of all ages. Whether you’re out for a stroll, visiting the area, or just looking for something different, be sure to call on by for a pint, for some music or even for a ‘gander’.
