After a jam packed June, July continues to deliver on things to do in Laois. There are over 150 events organised across the county giving kids no excuse to say they are bored.
Its festival season and this month sees The Folly Festival in Cullohill, The Laois Walks Festival at locations right across the county, The Ossory Show, the longest running agricultural show and of course The Scarecrow Festival. A new festival, Sonas Boutique Festival - Music, Arts & Wellbeing will take place in Stradbally.
Laois Libraries have put together a great schedule of events from slime making, code breaking, movie evenings and much more. There are events in libraries across the county.
Emo Court also has a number of events running over July. They are a wonderful way to experience the grandeur of the big house and many are free.
With over 150 events we are sure there is something for everyone.
Along with this are lots of kids activities, camps and workshops. As well as 150 organised events there’s also the wonderful Laois countryside and attractions to see like The Rock of Dunamaise, Timahoe Tower, The Slieve Blooms, Abbeyleix Bog, Heywood Gardens, Donoghmore Workhouse, Abbeyleix Heritage House, The Laois Garden Trail and so much more. Most are free and well worth exploring.
