The Store Yard has valuable knowledge in the use of both architectural salvage and antiques in every facet of the architectural trade. Our design team can help you whether you have a kitchen renovation, or are looking for a piece for the garden or a commercial project. The Store yard has become involved recently with the supply of film props, we have worked on the movie "Peter Pan" and BBC series "Quirke" to name a few.
The Store Yard opened its doors in 2010, Initially opening 3 days a week and by appointment, it soon turned into 6 days as having featured in two episodes of the BBC’S Antique’s Road Trip and this was instrumental in bringing the name to a much wider audience. What started with just David Keane running the shop and one member of staff in the office has now expanded to the point where there are almost 20 people full and part-time involved in the running of The Store Yard with Manager, Interior Designer Robert Collins joining the team in early 2015.
With such a wide and extensive variety of stock The Store Yard hires props to Film production companies, Theatre, Event planners, Home staging, Wedding planners and much more.
Penny Dreadful, Ripper St, The Lost City of Z, Quirke , Pan The Movie are to name but a few,
The Store Yard has expanded from fine furniture into the area of 20th century items, Irish furniture, French pieces, Architectural salvage and Garden statuary alongside Decorative salvage suitable for bars, restaurants and other commercial premises looking to give their business a touch of individuality. With 3 individual traders operating under the umbrella of The Store Yard, each bringing their own individual style and expertise it offers something unique to this Country. It is the place to go if you are looking for an unusual gift or something quirky for the home or garden.
As their business card states we are ‘Purveyors of the unusual’ and I think that sums up the appeal of The Store Yard. They have something unique in Ireland, which is possibly why they won The Irish Times Best Shops Award in 2015 and are in Hot Press Best of Ireland 2106 & 2017
