Two of our longest running festivals take place, the Slieve Bloom Walking Festival 3-6th May and Half Door Club International Music And Dance Festival 3-6th May. The Bealtine Festival also runs in May. There is lots more, guided tours, Woodland Steam Railway, Mary Black, Aslan, Smash Hits and so much more.

The Annual Laois Walks Festival features over twenty walks along numerous woodland, mountain, bog, canal and minor road routes across County Laois. The Laois Walks Festival runs for the full month of July and takes in 27 walks from right across Laois. With something for all ages and abilities, this is a great opportunity to get outdoors and to become more familiar with the wonderful range of walks that Laois has to offer.
9.2 The Folly Music Comedy & Culture Festival 19th & 20th July 2019

The Folly combines great daytime family entertainment from porridge championships to early morning walks, food and family fun. Night time brings comedy and music and its Ireland’s only equal opportunity festival. All set in the grounds of Cullahill Castle. Full programme for 2019 is yet to be released.
